The technical history of your security systems

Plans, devices, network configuration, cabling and photos: Tintonex brings the technical information about your installations into a single file, which your teams keep up to date in the field.

Built for installers and integrators in intrusion detection, video surveillance, access control and fire alarm systems.

The problem

An installation should not depend on one person's memory.

On a site fitted out three years ago, the information almost always exists. It is simply nowhere to be found on the day you need it.

  • Photos on the phone of whichever technician went out there.

  • Instructions buried in a WhatsApp thread from last year.

  • An Excel sheet of IP addresses nobody keeps up to date any more.

  • A paper plan redrawn twice, and the rest in the head of whoever wired the site.

The day someone has to go back

The technician starts by looking for the information instead of fixing the problem. They ring the office, which sometimes has to track down whoever knows the installation.

The product, in action

A detail corrected today. Found again on the next visit.

On the plan, the technician opens CAM-01, corrects its switch port and saves. The data stays in the technical file, available to the team on the next visit.

The four steps of the scene

The technician opens CAM-01 from the plan. On site, the camera is no longer connected to the port shown on its record.

The technician enters the right port in the record, then saves.

The save goes into the activity log: who modified the device, and when.

The next day, a colleague opens CAM-01: the record shows the right port, and the log shows who modified it, and when.

The chain of the file

A living file, from the client to the device

Every piece of information has its place, and is always found in the same one.

  1. 1

    Organise clients & sites

Structure your jobs by client, then by site.

  2. 2

    Import the plan

An image becomes a plan straight away; a PDF converts into an annotatable plan, page by page.

  3. 3

    Place the devices

Drop pins straight onto the plan.

  4. 4

    Complete the technical file

Field photos and technical details for each device.

  5. 5

    Export the PDF

A technical file ready to share.

The PDF is a deliverable; the file itself stays alive in Tintonex, corrected and completed on every visit.

Finding

The technical detail, in seconds

Every device carries its own record: that is what separates a plan from a technical history.

One record per device
What it is — make, model, serial number — how it is wired, how long it has been in place, how long it stays under warranty. And, if it has been replaced, by what.
A search that looks in the right places
Search a device name, an IP address, a model reference or a type — as well as the name of a plan, a site or a client.
Filters to narrow it down
By client, by site, by plan, by floor, by device type or by status.

Fictitious demo data

Nothing to install from an app store: the application is added to the home screen of a phone or tablet.

Client portal

Give your clients visibility, without opening up your internal data

The end client gets separate, invitation-only access, limited to the information the portal is meant to show.

What your teams work with internally

IP addresses, VLANs, switches and ports, NVRs, makes and models, statuses, internal notes, photos and access passwords for authorised roles.

IP 192.168.1.21VLAN 20 · PoESW-A1 · Gi1/0/12NVR-01MOD-4142H. 2,80 m

What the client sees

Their sites, their plans and the devices visible in their portal, with their name and their family.

No IP addresses, no VLANs, no ports, no access credentials and no internal notes.

And they write to you from their plan

The client raises a request from their site, and can then specify which plan it relates to and point to the exact spot on that plan.

You no longer get “the camera at the back has stopped working”, but a request placed at the right spot on the right plan.

Site inspections

Your site visits leave a trace — and a report.

Tintonex documents what is installed, and also what has been checked, when and, where available, who carried out the inspection.

  • Reusable checklists

Prepare the checks once, then reuse the checklist on every visit.

  • One result per check

Every check keeps its result and, where there is one, the technician's note.

  • A report ready to hand over

Once the inspection is finished, generate a dated PDF with the checks, their results and the notes, without exposing your internal technical data.

Features

The whole technical file, in one place

What is installed, where it is installed, how it is wired — and the PDF that sums it all up.

  • Centralised plans

Your plans, filed by client, by site and by folder. A PDF converts into an annotatable plan.

  • Devices on the plan

Place cameras, readers and control panels where they sit, and move them as the installation changes.

  • Technical network records

IP, VLAN, switch, port, NVR, height and power supply, on every device's record.

  • Cable runs drawn on the plan

Draw the links between devices, by cable family. They follow the devices whenever those are moved.

  • Measurements and quantities

Calibrate a plan once: distances, real cable lengths, the cameras' field of view to scale, with its range for the image quality you are aiming for. Quantities are counted by model or reference, per plan or for the whole site.

  • Field photos

Photos attached to each device, to record what you see out on site.

  • PDF export

A clean technical file — annotated plan, device list, photos — in one click.

  • Role-based collaboration

Sales, design office and technician all work on the same file.

Access & traceability

Controlled access, tracked actions.

Access rights and certain sensitive actions are controlled server-side, not just in the interface.

  • Members access their organisation's files; what they can do there depends on their role.
  • A device's access password is encrypted. Only authorised profiles can display it. Recorded viewings appear in the activity log.
  • The client portal is separate from your internal access and does not expose your sensitive technical data.
  • Actions recorded in the activity log are dated. When they are performed from an account, they are linked, at the time of recording, to the account used. Actions from the client portal are an exception and appear as coming from the client.

Getting started

What do we need to start?
Access set up by our team, then a client, a site and its plan: enough to place your first device.
Can we start from our existing plans?
Yes, as an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP) or a PDF, up to 20 MB. Devices, however, are entered one by one, with no automatic import.
How do we get up and running?
You create your company's workspace, then invite your team by email, each with their own role.
What help do we get?
A call or a demo tailored to how you work. After that, if an administrator allows it, our team can work on your technical file for a limited period.

Plans to match the size of your team and of your installed base.
