Existing plans

Your existing plans: no need to start from scratch.

Import your plans and, if you have one, your device table. Tintonex detects the cameras, their position and their technical details; you check, correct and approve before anything is created.

Your documents

Start from what you already have

  • Your plans

As a PDF or an image (PNG, JPEG, WebP), up to 20 MB per file. The pages you choose from a PDF become plans.

  • Your device table

Optional: Excel (.xlsx), CSV or a PDF containing a text table. Its rows are matched to the cameras on the plan by their tag.

  • A blank plan and a table

No cameras drawn on the plan? The table rows stay “to place”: you position them yourself, one by one.

Smart import

The analysis proposes, you decide

The plan is analysed in your browser. What is detected is presented to you record by record, before anything is created.

  1. 1

    Analyse the plan

Tintonex reads the PDF's text or the image's characters, and detects the cameras: symbol, tag, position, and technical details when they appear on the plan.

  2. 2

    Match the table

Each row is matched to the camera with the same tag. A row with no detected camera stays to be placed: you put it on the plan in one click.

  3. 3

    Approve before creating

You confirm the values read, adjust uncertain positions and settle conflicts. Devices are created only when you approve them.

You stay in control

Nothing is saved without your approval

  • An uncertain position is confirmed, or corrected by dragging the pin.
  • A value read from the plan is confirmed or corrected before it is saved.
  • The same tag under another name is flagged, and the record waits for your decision.
  • A device already on the plan is neither recreated nor modified.

A plan's background

The plan evolves, the devices stay

A newer or clearer version of the plan? Replace its background without losing anything placed on it.

The new background must have the same proportions as the old one. Alignment is checked by eye: there is no automatic realignment.

  • Compare before replacing

The new background is shown over the old one, with a transparency slider: you check the alignment, then confirm.

  • Devices and cabling kept

They stay in place, with their records and photos.

  • You can go back

The previous background is kept: you can restore it.

Good to know

What plan import does, and what it doesn't

Are all devices detected?
Detection currently covers cameras. Other devices are placed on the plan from the editor.
What if a plan is hard to read?
On a scanned or very busy plan, detection may be incomplete: missing cameras are then placed by hand, from the table or the editor.
Can we bring in all our plans at once?
No: each plan is analysed and approved in turn, according to its characteristics. Nothing forces you to bring everything in up front, though: a plan can be brought in when you need it.
Are old annotations removed?
No. Tintonex does not retouch the image: for a cleaner background, you import the new version of the plan yourself.
Where are our files processed?
The analysis runs in your browser, with no external OCR service. The plans you save are then stored in Tintonex, in your organisation's private space.
